This is almost a goth-meets-beatnik kind of wardrobe. I wanted something a little bit grown-up. Except the purple hair. That was another thing - I didn't want all black. Dark purple felt like a nice compromise.
Any more ideas for Josephine? I'll try to get to some of the other suggestions, too, as I find the time.
I was 'goth' in middle school but never this cool!
ReplyDeleteI know right?! I wish I had been this cool. I felt so counter culture when I wore a purple velvet dress to a middle school dance...I wasn't. I loved that dress though!!
DeleteI too wanted to dress in Goth, but didn't. I sometimes regret that, because I think it is a look that you really can only pull off when you are young and working clothes aren't a thing.
ReplyDeleteThere's something to be said for goth being a youth culture thing. But then again, I live fairly close to Salem, MA, and goth is definitely and all-ages affair over there!
Deletei was totally this cool in high school (not) though to be fair i'm so old i would have been considered proto-goth at best ha!
ReplyDeletegoth beatnik is perfect ~ love the high collars and the rich fabrics!
Maybe goth beatnik will be my own fun sub culture!!
