Kawaii Kids - Monster and Devil

In college, I studied a lot of things.  I'd probably STILL be in college, taking every class, if I could! My major was art history and I worked on a minor in English. I came up one class short of finishing it....not the end of the world, but it still bugs me.

As part of my studies, I took an entire class devoted to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.  I love that book! I love what I learned during that class! I HATE when people call the monster "Frankenstein".  Just a thing that annoys me.  We all have them, after all.

Today is the last of the Kawaii Kids Halloween posts.  I want to close it out with another classic, cute set of costumes.  I went with Frankenstein's monster and a devil.  It was fun to go back & work with these paper dolls again.  Hopefully you enjoyed it, too.  Have a happy, fun, safe Halloween.  I know my two monsters & I will!

    1. Yeah, that square head has definitely become a visual short-hand for Frankenstein's monster! I like the look of it, though....

It's nice to know I'm not the only literature nerd who gets annoyed by such silly things!

  2. I'm with you on the monster thing, but I've learned there are battles that are hard to fight.

I love the hair with the devil costume- it is a super cute style.

    1. Some battles are totally not worth it! My other big one is Leonardo da Vinci. I had an art history professor who told us that he should be referred to as Leonardo since "da Vinci" is just the name of his town. I'm not sure if she was right, but it grates on me when I hear it!

I love that hair, too. It's got kind of a vintage vibe to it!

  3. I love these paper dolls, they are perfect for my nephew to get started with his "careful" cutting skills. He loves Star wars; Darth vader, storm troopers etc. Just wondering if you'd be interested in making star wars themed Kawaii Kids dolls.

    1. I'm so glad these have been fun & useful! It's an older project and I don't really have any plans to go back to it. Maybe when the my kiddos go back to school!
